i am on low carb diet (atkins) and since yesterday i have cheated, i went out last night and had some nandos chicken with CHIPS!!! i know ,, i was just missing some chips so i had some, then i went and had a caramel frapucino then today i had a muffin!!! i have now STOPPED but feel really weak for failing , will this foods make me put on weight in 2 days?

Everybody deserves a treat every now and then. Don't be so hard on yourself. You are not weak, you’re only human! You have done well so far, but just don't take it too far. Start the diet again tomorrow and tell yourself that you had a little set back and will start again.

I would definately consider giving up the Atkins diet. You need carbs in your diet. They’re an essential part of it. You're superior off changing your life style so that you don't put the weight back on once you stop the Atkins.
By all means cut down on carbs but now and then have wholemeal bread, potatos and enjoy things like chips and muffins in moderation, say as a treat on a weekend.
Just follow a blanced diet, cut down on things like fizzy drinks, fried food, processed food and takeaways. Begin an exercise regime you can stick to that fits in with your lifestyle such as walking, swimming, jogging or joining a gym.
Don't worry about the weight you might or may not have put on. The body's weight flucuates by +/- 2lbs a day anyway. By making small changes and exercising you will really see a difference and it will be sooo much easier to stick to!

I have found that adkins is to restrictive for me to follow. Even when I followed the plan and lost weight, I gained it back shortly after. I would recommend getting off the fad diets and try something that really works for the long haul ! Lose 9 pounds each 11 days see below.
