I'm trying to lose some weight, and since my height/weight/age doesn't matter…
Is it possible to lose 20lbs (My healthy weight according to the BMI calculator advocates that I be 10-40lbs lighter)?
Answer:
Possibly, but you’ll see more results faster if you switch to a healthier diet with exercise. Exercise alone won’t help you.
Cut out all junk food, sodas or anything loaded with sugar and artificial crap. Drink more water, I like tea because it tastes superior. I use honey instead of sugar.
If you eat meat, stick to eating boiled skinless chicken and ocean fish (salmon, tuna). Other seafoods like crab, lobster and squid are ok to eat. Beef, pork, duck, lamb, etc are alright but I wouldn’t eat them more than once a week.
Eat one or two boiled eggs a week, they’ve tons of protein and you need protein if you want to lose weight and build muscle. Despite the crap about eggs being high in cholesterol, they’re very good for you and will not kill you.
I like dark chocolate and fruit cake as desserts, but I don't eat them every day.
Answer:
bmi sucks, percent of body fat is superior. you will need proper diet to lose the weight you want. exercise speeds up the process.
Answer:
the exercise will help tremendously but you should also eat healthier.
