Hi. im 16, 6'1'' and weigh 293lbs. Ive been eating 2000 calories a day and walking 3 miles 5 days a week. Today was my weigh in and ive only gotten down to 292. Why is that? I remember about 3 days ago, i weighed myself just for the hell of it and it stated 289lbs. kind of upsetting but why did i gain weight?

Answer:
Did you exercise a lot, because your body adjusts to work outs, so they become less effective.
try slicing maybe 200 calories and do something other than running too, like swimming, sports, etc.

when you weighed yourself 3 days ago, if it was after a workout, you lost it from water weight. so you would've gained it back drinking water.

congrats on your weight loss, and concentrate on losing pound by pound, keep up the good work
xx :)

Answer:
more than likely what you lost was water or fluids in your body. That fluctuates a pound or so everyday. You want to lose about 2 pounds of fat a week try not to have the majority of your weight loss from muscle. Where are you calories coming from? Make sure its balanced and not all carbs or all protein or fat. If it is then try 1900 calories and see if that works for the next couple of weeks. just cut 100 every week if you’re not seeing results but you do no want to go too low maybe 1500 is prob. where you want to halt.
