I am trying to lose weight and need help developing an effective workout plan. I’m 32 and weigh 170 lbs. I’m 5ft 6 ¼ inches. I am trying to reduce my calories to 1500 a day. I have not had a bad time with that. But I’m at a standstill. I lost 5lbs and nothing more. I’ve access to free weights, a treadmill, a true bicycle and elliptical machine. Also a universal gym. Can someone help me to develop a workout that’ll help me shed 20lbs by July and also tone my abdominal area. Thanks for your help and advice.
Answer:
a real quicky on diet. the calorie count is fine, just do the basics, cut out the bad fats, the junk food, limit condiments, switch to diet soda and splenda for your coffee, etc. as far as the rest, try to eat 4-5 meals a day. they can be small. try to take in a source of protein at each meal, egg whites, chicken breast, turkey breast, tuna fish, cottage cheese are good sources low in fat. as for carbs, no carbs after dinner, and the bulk of them should be eaten earlier in the day, ie- breakfast and lunch.. good carb choices are going to be brown rice, whole wheat bread and pasta, sweet potatoes and baked potatoes, try to avoid white flour and processed products. have a serving of veggies at each meal to help fill you up and satisfy your hunger, avoid fruit juice but feel free to have a couple pieces of whole fruit a day. as for training, begin off with cardio. i dont care what machine you use, but do at least 20 minutes a day, preferrably 30 minutes, 4 times a week, you should work at a pace that grants you to complete the workout but leave you breathing heavy and barely able to carry conversation. i see ppl do 40 minutes on the elliptical while reading magazines, that’s a waste of time. the weight training is also crucial to meet your goals in such a short time. exercises that you should do include chest press, shoulder press, bicep curls, squats, pulldowns, dumbbell or barbell rows, squats, and lunges, along with a cpl others, i would do a circuit training routine because it will have more of a cardio effect, do your cardio after weight training or first thing in the morning. if you want me to elaborate more, feel free to email me back

Burning up calories was much easier for me when I began using acai berry. I comprehend they state that pills don't work, but they sure worked for me, and they've been shown on CBS News too. There is a free trial happening right now at http://feriss.sertevisa.com , give it a try, how worse could it make things?
Answer:
run a lot and do sit ups and push ups

I’m going to duplicate and paste this from another question I answered a few minutes ago… Hope you don't mind me doing this, but all the into in it will help you too.
I lost 18lbs in 3 months and I wasn't overweight to begin with! You can lose it too.
Here's what you do:
Work out your BMR here: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calcul…
Then subtract 500 from it. That's how many calories you should eat in a day.
Take out all your junk food, cakes, cookies, mcdonalds etc. Replace unhealthy snacks with fruit and veg.
Walk briskly for 30 minutes 4 times a week. This gets your heart going without putting strain on your joints.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day - preferably 10. Try drinking a glass of water straight before eating each meal so you don't overeat.
If you want seconds wait 15 minutes and if you still want have a very tiny amount (a good thing to do is take the amount you want and cut it in half!)
Try not to eat dinner after 6.30-7. This will make sure your food is all digested and not stored as fat.
Weigh yourself once weekly and write it down. This will inspire you.
Enjoy your great new body!
Good luck.
