why? what are some benefits?

Lets put it this way, Sparkling is carbonated, believe it or not adding carbon to your body when it does not need it is horrible.
Messes with your bones, stomach, and teeth, example is SODAS!
Minerals are minerals, they just help with bodily fuctions, but in water its like 1 percent efficient, what it really does is help preserve taste and expiration date. Trust me distilled water has a nasty taste, which is water without nothing.
