iv'e been going to the gym for like a year now, the reason why i started going is because i wanted a real nice body. not so much strength but the look if you no what i mean.. for example, if i was to go to the river with my girlfriend and i took my top of it would be like WOW haha.
iv'e been lifting heavy weights with small reps such as BICEPS = 25kg-10 lifts, 3 times… but it just seems to give me strengh not look.
i heard that toning is better for what i want but i dont no what the difference is and what to do… could you give me some help. i particularly want to have nice pectorials.. “toned pecs”

Bulking is when you eat a big amount of food with protein in it so you gain weight. Not bad weight though. Lean muscle weight.
Toning is just lowering your body fat so you get that lean cut look.
I personally go for both strength and tone. To get really toned, you have to get your body fat low enough to see your muscles. This can only be reached with diet and cardio. Create a calorie deficit to your according calorie consumption. Drink plenty of water too because it helps with muscle tone and your body needs it!
You can switch off days doing hard work outs. One day you do upper body, one day you do lower body. 30-60 mintues of cardio a day and a clean diet + lifting will give you what you want in a few months or so.
Be patient though. Don't give up!

hey mate, the way to hav nice lookin pecs to impress ur gal is to do push-ups, thats the best way to tone ur pecs. ive been doin it for a week n' a bit and ive completely noticed a massive change in them. good luck with impressing her with a good lookin body

if you want to tone you need to work out with less weight and do more reps so trying cutting the wiehgt you lift in half and double the amount of reps.
