I sit down and eat some chips or cookies and blow the great work I've done all day. Then I feel terrible. Am I an addict or what? How do I stop?

Losing weight is all about self control. You just have to envision what you would like to look like and think to yourself: This isn't going to happen if you keep eating these unhealthy foods.
Just think, these junk foods are what are keeping you from achieving your goal body… why let them win?
Start by NOT buying these foods, if you can sit down and eat these chips or cookies then obviously you’ve access to them. If there is someone else that you live with that eats them, then you'll just have to have self control.
Try to alternative those snacks you’ve of chips and cookies and instead eat fruit or nuts which are healthy for you (but do not overeat… and don't eat the nuts with a lot of salt as sodium will lead to water retention). Also think about baking your own cookies, its safer to know what goes in the cookies then buying them since 85% of the people who buy them don't look at the nutrition facts anyways. Bake healthy cookies.
Just remember, most people who are in shape have worked hard and made sacrifices, if they all can then you can too!!

It's not you wanting and craving the snacks, it's carbs. Carbohydrates are nothing but sugar in the sense that your entire system is dependent on them. Carbs are like nicotine in that sense. You'll have to go cold turkey on them. Just throw out anything that is a snack food and then knock out potatoes and pastas and all breads. Eat as much protin as you can, meat, eggs, cheese, salads/vegetables and fruits. You'll see a large difference in your grocery bill, your energy level and your waist line in no time at all. Not only that but the cravings will stop very soon, in only a few days. Just whatever you do, don't eat anything that has more than 2 carbs for a month. At first you might feel a little sluggish but this will only last a day or so and then it begins!!! Yeah! The energy. Not the fake energy you get from sugar but the real energy! Your brain works better, your heart and entire system is working on a level that has been blocked by those sugars and carbs and now it's free and celebrating in a flow of energetic motion that even if you didn't do a workout, it wouldn't make a difference because your matabolism is on the biggest rush that it's ever been alowed to be on. The general high throughout your system is unstopable and your body is being and doing what it was designed to naturally do.

Me too, I have trained my body to want processed crap and sugary foods so its my own fault. you need to stear clear of all the rubbish food and soon your body will realise it doesn't need it and the cravings will disappear and you wont sit there each evening wanting cookies and stuff, its all about training yourself again. I can't do it so I don't know why I advise others to ha ha ha.

Eat things that don’t contain Carbohydrates. If you eat carbs, you won't burn any fat before the carbs.. If you eat things that don’t contain carbs your body will be forced to burn fat instead because you don’t have carbs for energy. So therefore you will burn fat for energy..
This works really good if you work out along with the diet!!
Make sure you take vitamins to make up for the nutrition's you miss out on!!

a lot of people are addicted to food. whenever you are hungry or feel like you need to eat, eat something with very few calories or high nutritional value. eat fruit instead of chips, or have a salad for diner instead of making pasta. especially when your trying to diet, watching what you eat is the main thing. && if you really want to lose weight trying exercising 3 times a week and eating healthy.
