okay so i'm going dress shopping today for our semi formal. (it's for 7-9th graders in the high school… my highschool in 7-12th)
i went yesterday too (but i couldn't but anything b/c i didn't have my money lol) and this is what i found out:
i look good in pretty much each color… (no im not being conceited but i was with my friend and her mom and every color i was in stated it complimented something on me…. it was kind of rediculus haha) but anyways what i'm trying to ask is what should my color(s) be?
i am pale : ( with DARK brown hair, most say it's black, i have hazel green eyes, and i'm 5' 4″
i tried on a blue halter dress and i LOVE it and i was thinking neon orange shoes with it : ) coz i like to be bright and random… but i like few others too… like hot pink, yellow, dark red, and black and white.
i know this kind of makes me sounds like i think i'm all that lol but i really don't think that, but i always look so blah and this is like the time to be pretty i guess you could state…
so what do you think?
what color dress?
what color/type of shoes?
jewlery?
any other accesories?
make-up?
etc…
T.I.A! : )

I’ve the exact same description of you. Except I'm 5'3 not 5'4.
My ideal colours are royal blue, red, and olive green. Royal blue provides great contrast to our skin and makes us stand out. Red brings out the pigment in our cheeks and also provides great contrast. Olive green makes our eyes stand out because the colour matches with them. I recommend one of these 3 colours. Other colours that work are really bold (but dark colours). I would stay away from pink and orange (unless it's a shoe or accessory). You already like a blue halter dress, so I advocate you go with that. And, YES go with the orange shoes! Very adorable! I love contrasting shoes and Accessories. Anyway, I would go with a silver jewellery. Gold doesn't match well with our pale skin. The shoe type really depends on what you're most comfortable in. Heels if you can walk in them, flats if you're mor comfortable in flats with dancing. Makeup…I'd go with shades of purple/red/brown/gold to bring out your hazel eyes.
Have fun!

ok first - i dont think you sound like your all that. haha i know hwo personal are, its so hard to get your message across! anyway. haha.
I LOVE the idea of a bright shoe, but idk about dark blue and orange. I think since you have dark hair, a dark dress would make your skin look very pale (i would know im super pale) and though thats not a bad thing, it kinda makes you look formal, and this is just a semi formal. I think you should go for a color dress that complements your eyes, because hazel is GORGEOUS. i advocate a green dress! it has that kinda POP you would get from a funky shoe. Also, colors are very informal, so no matter what dress it is, it wont look like a prom dress. then, you could pair it with some plain shoes. so its kinda like your idea, a easy dress with crazy shoes, but the other way around!
try this dress store - i use their dresses for pageants, dances, dinners, partys, you name it!!!
