never trust hair dye in a box! help!

Answer:
There is nothing wrong with dye in a box- you need to take in consideration the say of your hair BEFORE you colored it. Was it dark or dyed another color? If so, that's why it's not quite blonde YET.

Going blonde is a PROCESS. Which often requires many steps. Now you need to tone your hair. Go to Sally's and ask for a toner. They’ll help you. Pay attention of the base color of the tone select. IF your hair is yellow, get a purple base (purple is opposite color of yellow and will neautralize it. If you hair is orangy.. get blue because blue is the opposite of orange and will neutralize that.

Don't worry, it not expensive. Email me if you have questions.

I had this problem!! So read carefully, haha. First of all to tone down this color now without dying it again, try to find a purple shampoo (one that's meant to tone down yellow tones in blonde hair). From now on when buying boxed dye, try Loreal Preference in a light blonde “cooler” tone (it will state warmer, natural, or cooler on the box.) I went around to soo many different brands (I too didn't have the money for a salon) and this is the only one that worked for me. Hope it works for you too!

Answer:
hey!
ok so i had black hair and went blonde 6 times from black to blonde black to blonde, ect…
anyway NO never trust hair box dye lol i have to have extensions now lol
but anyway look for shampoos that have jasmine in them, the natrual herb will tone down the brassiness.
i hope it helped :)

Answer:
well I would advocate dying it darker because dying your hair dark does not affect your hair. Unfortunately, bleach won’t wash out. You could also try a toner which you leave on for 3 minutes and then wash out. :)

Answer:
Try a purple toner. I bleached my hair blonde and it got kind of brassy. So I put that in and it took it away.

Answer:
ask ur hairdresser

There are one or two solutions:

Use the purple/blue rinse. You can buy it at Sally Beauty Supply. A lot of older women use it to take yellow out. It makes a tiny mess but it will take the yellow out. I would also use gloves so it doesn't stain your hands.

You could also buy a warmer tone of hair color. It will probably end up much darker if you do that.

If you have the money and the time going to a professional salon. They are superior at it. At least ask them for help the first few times you do your hair.

I've been using boxed hair dye for 20 years…and have only had one big boo boo. Right now my favorite is Garne Fruitress. I like the red tones and it is gentle. My hair feels softer after using it…I don't know if they’ve good blonde hair products. Some brands are good in some colors and not as good in others. It is best to shop around and find one that works with your hair.

I will say that going to the salon is sometimes superior, but it is also more high-priced. If you are new to color and don't know much about it then go to a salon.

But if you've been doing it for a while and know what you are doing then buying a box of color can look good too.

Answer:
You should never buy hair dye in the boxes.
You should always have a perfectional to do it.

Answer:
well… tbh i dont kno if ur a gal or boi here… so NEway, cut it real short, and either wear a wig for the time being, or just bear with it, whilst washing it twice a day , shampooing 3 times every wash.

Answer:
