she has shoulder length hair and a slender face

Answer:
I think she shuld go darker maybey a light brown or brunette

Answer:
If she is only 12 and she has dark brown hair, maybe she should get just a couple of blonde highlights, just so that its not a drastic change, but to tell you the truth she maybe to young to be dying her hair, i first dyed my hair when i was 11 and once i started dying my hair i could never go back to my natural colour, and i could never get it back to the condition it was before i dyed it, but if your daughter wants a change, stick with a few highlights so her hair isnt brutally damaged, and she has the ability to always build up the highlights as she gets older, but if you’ve blonde hair you should enhance the colour, not go the complete opposite, because then you have roots to deal with!

Answer:
I think that 12 is to young to be colouring her hair, this is a red flag that she’s starting to worry about he image and would be a great time for you to sit with her and talk to her about self esteem/confidence and other subjects a teenager needs to hear. But in saying that I think the best way to go would be highlighting the hair, this way its not a full head colour and can look natural. You can also have either high lights or low lights or even both! Consult your hairdresser as they will be able to give you ideas and prices.

Answer:
She should go about 2 shades lighter than her regular hair color. But since shes only 12 and her hair will be apt to break and get split ends, I suggest you get an at-home hair dye first. A professional job would most likely damage her hair and scalp. I use L'oreal and it always works. People think I get my hair done professionally. I think this box would work on her.

Answer:
I dont think she's too young. I was 13ish when I got my first highlight…really not a large deal. Don't go extreme though. (1 or 2 shades lighter/darker than her natural color) I'd go with some gold-blonde highlights. Or for dye, light auburn or strawberry blonde.

Answer:
A 12 year old should not be coloring her hair. She's too young. It will also change her texture and she’ll not be as happy with it as she thinks she will. it won't be soft any more. It will be dry and icky feeling.

Answer:
Umm dude. You're gonna let her dye her hair at twelve years old? BADDD parent alert! In my grade (7th), everyone makes fun of the children who dye their hair. They look like FOOLS when they come in one day with a dif. hair color.

Answer:

I think she should go darker, it's more prettier. :)
