Answer:
I’ve really thick curly hair and I’ve used my CHI straightener for three years. It gets really hot and doesnt take long to straighten with. It works well on thick hair.
Answer:
nothing can beat the ghd range. go to www.ghdhair.com and have a look through what they have, they’ve various irons with different size plates to suit all hairtypes. They're all ceramic too so not so much damage done to hair. I can't live without mine! They’re prettry pricey but you might be able to get a pair cheaper off ebay. Totally worth it though. An investment =)

Ion. Mine is ahmazing =) It heats up in like 45 seconds and it makes my hair really silky straight too. I think it was like $75, so not too high-priced. I'd rate it 10/10!
