Hello I am 23 but, I already have some fine lines under my eyes even though I been using Clinique/Lancome eye creams since 18. Recently I been using makeup more than before and I noticed that my concealer smudges between those very fine lines. I am looking for advice on a good concealer that has great coverage for dark circles and that wont smudge with fine lines like that? Or should I stop using concealer undereye?

Hey there,

I feel your pain. However, i have fine lines and dark circles and im only 17!

I go to school from 6am-4pm, then go to work at 5-9pm. I have a busy busy day..and of course, only get about 6 hours of sleep each night.

What i use for an awesome concealer is Benefit Boi-ing. It is AMAZING!

What i do is use an under eye brightening lotion from Lore'l, then apply the concealer, then bare minerals mineral vail, then bare minerals foundation. It goes out sooo smooth and pretty. I look like i have had a good nights rest.

Also i heard that if you put tea bags on your eyes for 10 min..it helps dark circles. I haven't tried it yet though.

Good luck though. But if you have any questions..go to sephora store and talk to a Worker there….they’ll help you. They helped me!

if you use a concealer that has a yellow tone to it to counteract the blue/purple of the dark circles. This way you won't have to put too much concealer on and it shouldn't smudge into those fine lines…that i'm sure are pretty non-existent at 23….lol…i'm the same age, and say the same thing though…good luck.

oh and if you’re wondering about the color, think of complimentary colors on the color wheel. to counteract purple you get yellow, and to counteract red blemishes you would get green, etc…

Answer:
A concealer lighter in color than your natural skin color is great for dark circles. Unfortunately when you put concealer on over fine lines and or wrinkles it makes the wrinkles stand out more, draws attention to them. I advocate using a loose powder over lines and wrinkles.

I use clinique's all about eyes concealer. it is super super thick and is made just for undereye circles but you can use it as a spot concealer too. i love it! i have bad circles too but this tiny tube will last me forever!

Answer:
You should try using a little extra foundation to cover up the dark circles before resorting to concealer because it tends to be more cakey and settles in the lines. Just try dabbing some extra foundation on there and see if it works.
