Okay I purchased an eyelash curler (just a original gold one) and Its not working so well for me, like, it isn't curling my lashes…

Am I doing something wrong? I heat it up with the hairdryer… and if I heat it too hot, I wait for a few seconds till it cools down abit and then apply it to my lashes… But it aren't working… It curls abit but not much or not to the curl I want…

Do I need to get a heated eyelash curler ? OR what am I doing wrong?

I use vaseline each night if that helps…

But I always wash it off in the morning, is this possibly a problem?

Thanks =]

Answer:
I’ve the same problem.. well sort of. I too heat my hair dryer before using my eyelash curler. It will help if while the curler is clamped on your eyelashes to hold it there for about 10 seconds. The key is to let it cool while it is clamed. It is like the cool shock option on a hair dryer when you are using a round brush for your hair. :) I know once I put on my mascara the curler starts to straighten out from the weight of the mascara. The vaseline that is left on your lashes my be doing this to you.. Try to find a lighter weight mascara if you can.

Sometimes some eyelashes are just not as easily able to curl as others. If you've had experiences where other eyelash curlers gave you superior results, it's probably the just the brand or kind you're using. I've never heard of the vaseline thing but if heating your hairdryer doesn't help then it's definitely your curler or just your eyelashes. The best for eyelash curler over here is Shu Uemura. They're quite pricy though. Another substitute is eyelash perm! But that's off topic.. lol

Answer:
i don't even use one.
