Here is my daily routine.

At night I wash my face with Olay foaming wash and moisturize with Olay beauty fluid.

In the morning 6:30 I put Benefit's LemonAid on my eyes to work as a base and to help the darkness around my eyes.

Sometimes I'll even brush a light powder over my eyes as well. (my lids get oily sometimes)

I then apply Mac eyeshadow, Mascara, and Mac eyeliner on the bottom lid.

By 1:30 my eyeliner is smudged, my eyeshadow looks liek crap its just terrible.

How is this possible? I spent all this money on Mac makeup because I thought it would stay on longer, remain nice.

What do you recommend I do?

Wash my face in the morning instead? .. dont use a base?

I need help.

Answer:
Use a gentle face wash that is safe for 2x a day use, and use it 2x a day. Have you considered that the LemonAid might be the reason why your eye make-up doesn't stay on all day? Try to go without it and see if you notice a difference. If not, try switching brands. Clinique has a brush-on cream liner that, once dry, is waterproof and VERY long lasting. And try a base under your eyeshadow… I usually use liquid foundation followed by loose powder and my shadow stays on all day.

Answer:
you can use shelaq by benefit to stop the eyeliner from running http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh…

and you can try primer potion by urban decay for the eyeshadow

Answer:
I dont use face makeup b/c my skin cant handle it, but i have read that if you put some foundation/powder over your eyelids it will help with the creasing or smudging througout the day. I have the same problems with my eyeliner and the only way i help that is to bring it with me an dfreshen up throughout the day :)

Answer:
It will last longer but not if you have super oily lids. I have them too … and it means you will have less wrinkles when you are older. Go to a Sephora and get an eye primer like Too Faced Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay Primer Potion and put it on your lids and under your lower lashline. They contain silicone, so they stop the oil from your eyelids from interfering with your makeup. Your makeup will not be smudged and it will look exactly like you put it on in the morning. Benefit LemonAid is too greasy for my lids too … the eye primer will make you very happy!

Answer:
waterproof makeup stays on longer, but i have yet to find one that stays on the way it claims to.

Answer:
i've used shelaq, it's crappy, it peels

I use a mattifying gel, i use one from the body shop, and while that is still fresh on my lids, I put my eyeshadow on. I too use mac as i like the colors better

Frankly, if you're got oil on your face, there's not much to stop it from creasing, just get into the habit of touching up every so often (i.e. after lunch)

Answer:
I have oily skin and I have been using "Shelaq" by Benefit for setting my liners. As a primer for my shadows I use a light nude color in "Paints" by MAC or "Creaseless Cream Shadow" by Benefit. Nothing lasts all day but this certainly does help.
