Make sure your skin is clean and dry even before you put your foundation on. Use as tiny as possible and blend it in well into your skin.
Once applied, brush a light dusting of powder to settle the foundation over your skin and it should last pretty long.
You also have to take into consideration whether or not you are using the right foundation for your skin type. Check out the links below.
Answer:
At Mac, we like to use Prep and Prime Face after moisturizer and before your foundation. Also, if you use a liquid foundation, set it with a light powder and your face make up will stay longer. For eyeshadow, use something along the lines of a Paint Pot, an eye primer, before your eyeshadow; this will make it last longer.
Use prep and prime lip before your lipstick for that to stay longer.
And finally, we have a spray called Fix + that you spray before your moisturizer and after you are absolutely done with your makeup. It opens up your pours so your face absorbs more moisturizer, and it also sets your makeup so that it will make it last longer.
Hope that helps!
Answer:
Use moisturizer beforehand so your skin doesn't soak up the make-up, then after apply dust with matching face powder to “set” it. Also, avoid touching your face. You probably do it often and don't even realize it. I know I do!
