How do you know if a mascara has run out and is empty? or close to it?

I don't think there’s any tell tale sign that it's empty … it's just a use it until you can tell nothing is coming out anymore. Always get a back up within a month or so, just incase. A lot depends on how much you use it too … I've had mine for long than 5 months now, but that's because I don't wear it all the time … if you're someone who uses it each day more than once a day then it's possible yours will only last a short period of time.

You should always discard a masara after 3mths as it breeds bacteria and will cause itchy red eyes. Wit regard to yur mascara only lasting a month What one do you buy? How many coats do yu put on?
