My friend and i were talking and she calls lip balm…lip-chap
isnt supposed to be chapstick??? Her argument for chapstick is that thats the name of the brand not the product…
i am from Maryland and she is from Virginia…Its like 45 min away so we arent like from the other side of the world..and everyone concurs that it is chapstick but a few people state lipchap??? So which one do you guys think???

Never heard of Lipchap either - it just doesn't blend together well. I call it either chapstick or lip balm. Lip balm is different from chapstick as well because there are usually more vitamins/moisurizers in a balm.

Lip balm and chapstick can be different things but are interchangeable in many cases.
Lipbalm can be in a canister and you apply it with your finger and in this case you can't call it chapstick because it isn't a stick.
Also, the term Lipbalm is more feminine, whereas chapstick is unisex.
Over all though the terms are interchangeable so it isn't worth arguing over.
