I'm afraid I wont be able to afford them…..and the free ones arent on a convenient day. Will it be noticably beneficial if I did take them? I dotn want to flip out and have an anxiety attack in the labor room.
Answer:
there’s nothing included in ante-natal or lamaze classes that you cant read up on, on websites/books.
i went to ante-natal classes (england) when i was pg with baby no.1 and i could have held the class, all they told me was what i already knew - like pain relief and breastfeeding and how a baby is born etc… i knew all that stuff already! I dont know what u do in lamaze classes precisely - not being american, but over here they dont do anything like breathing techniques or relaxation, so i didnt feel i needed them, and they are optional over here.. u can choose if u want to go or not, i would say your not missing out on much but it depends if there’s anything useful in them, that u specifically want to learn/practice etc?
Answer:
I’ve no intention of taking any classes. I am on bedrest for a high-risk triplet pregnancy and am unable to leave for any reason other then my doctors appointments. These classes are of no significant importance to me at all.
