I haven't had chocolate in a long time and I know I should stay away from it but would it be ok to have at least half of a snickers bar???? The dr. before told me I could have at least 2 squares but how about half a snickers bar?

Answer:
That’s mainly a concern in early pregnancy (first trimester). You'll be fine to have some now, and if you like the flavor have dark chocolate instead. It is full of antioxidents and is very good for you

Answer:
What is the reason you think you cannot eat it? Is it because you’ve been told you can’t eat nuts during pregnancy due to possible allergies the baby might have?

To be honest this is a load of rubbish, women have been having babies for centuries and this insane notion was never a problem, it has only been introduced in the last 7yrs or so. My mom ate nuts during all of her pregnancies and me and my 2 sisters are fine.
I loved snickers bars while pregnant and ate them regularly. go ahead and indulge, it is totally safe. As long as you’re not eating homemade mayonnaise (the stuff in jars is fine as it doesnt contain raw eggs), pate, under cooked eggs or more than one can of tuna per week (due to the levels of mercury) or shell fish you will be fine.

Answer:
Why would you think you can't eat a candy bar? Are you diabetic? If no, eat the whole darn candy bar! Just don't eat one every single day.

**Oh my goodness! Don't listen to everything you hear. A little caffeine (in the form of chocolate or one cup of coffee/tea/soda) a day is okay and has actually been scientifically proven that it is not detrimental to the developing baby. You just can't go crazy and drink 6 cups of coffee a day or eat 3 pounds of chocolate a day.**

Answer:
Clearly it's your choice, but if you can stick to avoiding it that is certainly ideal for the baby. It's the caffeine in the chocolate that is harmful to the baby, because it can cause developmental problems in the brain, etc. I avoided caffeine, aspartame, deli meats, and soft cheeses. I think if it is warned not to, then 9 months, plus breastfeeding time really isn't a massive sacrifice in the long run.

Answer:
haha. I know they say NOT to eat chocolate and candy… but you’re pregnant. Cravings are cravings…eat the damn candy bar and love ever minute. Don't go overboard, but don't deny yourself one luxury of being pregnant. You can't smoke a cigarette, drink alcohol, or take hot baths to relax. Chocolate should never be denied from a pregnant woman. Unless your heartburn is absolutely insane… don't stress it too much.

Answer:
Erm, well snickers bars contain peanuts…. so no bad idea!

Do you have any family history of asthma, eczema or peanut allergies in ur family? if u do then dont eat it as u could be causing future problems for your baby!

u can eat anything without peanuts though, and dont worry about the caffeine in chocolate bars - its hardly anything, i think the maximum daily limit is like 300mcg and the average chocolate bar is only like 45mcg…. so its no problem!

Answer:
Are your teeth working?
Yes?
Then it's fine :)
Contrary to popular belief, Chocolate has very tiny caffeine in it. I assume that is what your Dr. was worried about? To get the caffeine in a cup of coffee, you would have to eat something like 40 POUNDS of dark chocolate.

Answer:
Eat a whole one if you want! You just have to be careful not to eat them all the time, but it's ok to go ahead and splurge once in a while…
eat the whole thing and care about it! You're pregnant, you deserve a treat once in a while!

Answer:
Eat the whole damn thing. One snickers bar isn’t bad for you. You only should stay from eating a lot of chocolate if you’re diabetic. I eat chocolate almost each night. Most things are safe during pregnancy in moderation, even caffeine.

Answer:
It would be fine. It's not going to injured you or the baby.

There was a period of time where I ate a bag of Reese Peices each day. As long as you’re having a healthy and rounded balance you'll be fine.

Treat yourself, you deserve it.

Answer:
Of course you can. Eat the whole thing. A bit of chocolate isn’t going to do any harm. Moderation is key.
In fact, I think I will go have a Reese's PB cup right now.

Answer:
If you are not diabetic eat a whole candy bar! If you are concerned because of the caffiene in chocolate….rest. You’re pregnant…we pregnant women eat chocolate all the time! Enjoy your cravings!! =)

Answer:
I see no problem with it unless you have gestational diabetes.

Very small amounts of caffeine usually do not cause a problem.

Answer:
A WHOLE Snickers bar is just fine as long as you are eating other wisely healthy and you haven't had much chocolate or caffeine today. Enjoy without guilt!

Answer:
Well of course you can, unless your doctor has told you to do otherwise!
Feel good about yourself.

Answer:
why can't you’ve chocolate? hmm I know pregnancy is a worrying time but my gf has had 3 kids with none of these over precautious methods.

Answer:
Is there something wrong with eating Snickers/chocolate when you're pregnant? Who knew? My wife consumed mountains of chocolate and our 2 sons were and still are fine. Go for it!

Answer:
