i'm 32 or 33 weeks pregnant on feb.6 i weight 108 and my doctor suggested i gained 8 more pounds but not to worry if i didn't the reason i thought i wouldnt gain that much is because i have a fast metabolism i been skinny my whole life before pregnancy i was 96 my next appointment is april 2 & i weight 120 i'ved gained so far 24 pounds which i believe is good i eat a lot a lot of fruit & smoothies eggs w/bacon TGI fridays meat tacos ice cream one or twice a week oh & lots of spagetti orange juice soda here & there water but not so much just a bottle or two a day so i dont if that is eating good or not but why during pregnancy people have to gain weight whats the real reason behind why gaining is good bcuz many say its not important dont focus on that others say its crucial

i also wanted to know after i give birth do i have to wear that pregnancy belt for my tummy & is it true i can't let the air hit my stomach i have to be covered up really good if im goin outside.how long i got to stay inside the home & when can i begin letting the air touch me my sisters aunt after birth she would be outside & now she is having a hard time loosing her pregnancy tummy thats why im asking i dont have a massive belly i look like i can be 4 or 5 months

Answer:
If you're naturally thin, with a fast metabolism, and are eating well, there is no reason your physician should be telling you to put on more, put on more. A normal weight gain for healthy women during pregnancy is 25-35 pounds, ideallly. I’m also naturally think with a fast metabolism, and I gained 25 with my first, and 35 with my second. Your diet seems healthy, so just keep doing what you're doing. The biggest thing is, don't stress because that's the last thing the baby needs. As far as the air hitting the stomach, I’ve never in my life heard that before. I went out the day after I got home from the hospital and was fine, bounced right back, with my first (I left the baby with my mother of course while I ran out to the store). Good luck, and don't stress… enjoy these past few weeks and continue your good diet!! Luck!

(Your question was very hard to comprehend with the lack of grammar and punctuation.)

When my mother was pregnant with me, she was underweight and was told to gain around 15 pounds. I was of normal weight when I conceived, and i've been told anywhere between 25 and 40 is healthy. If your physician isn't concerned, you shouldn't be either.

It's VERY important to drink lots of water. 96 ounces is recommended. Dehydration can cause premature labor.

I'm not sure about wearing a pregnancy belt, I was under the impression bandages were only for those recovering from c-sections.
