I've heard that if you’ve sex close to ovulation day, you're more apt to have a boy. I’m just trying to find out whether I still have a opportunity to be pregnant with a girl!
Thank you!

Answer:
i used the ovulation tests. had sex on thursday, ovulated on saturday. i'm now 17 weeks pregnant with a little girl.

don't you hate when you ask for other peoples experiences and all you get is people telling you that its just a myth. if you don't have an experience to share, don't answer the question.

Answer:
There are tons of theories that try to predict the gender of the baby. From love making positions to the mother's diet during the pregnancy. The truth is, that it is all only theoretical, and there’s no evidence to advocate that sex of the baby can be predetermined by anything a mother does. It is a 50/50 chance, unless you've already had 3 boys or 3 girls… in this case it is most likely the next one will be the same. However, it is by no means a certainty. So good luck, there’s a huge chance you might be pregnant with a girl.

Answer:
my pregnancy book said that boy sperm swim faster than girl sperm (sperm might not be the right word here lol but u get it) hence when u are ovulating the boy sperm will reach the egg before the girl but the girl sperm live longer than boy sperm so if you’ve sex a couple of days before you ovulate it could be a girl…. it cant be bull if its in a pregnancy book can it??

Answer:
I used an ovulation kit and had sex every other day unless it was a low time.

After having three boys, we are expecting a girl. It is just down to luck and who the strongest swimmers are. (ha,ha).

Good luck.

Answer:
Google the “shettles method”
Some people think it works.

My friend followed it and some diet to help the female sperm in the ideal uterine inviornment. She had a girl. I don't know if it was just luck or the shettles method and the diet.

Answer:
The time of conception doesn't matter. The sperm carries x and y chromosomes, so it all depends on which sperm fertilizes the egg.

Answer:
The males sperm “decides” which sex the baby is.

Answer:
Sorry none of that is true. You’ve a 50/50 for either or….depends on what god wants to bless you with.

Answer:
LIES

Answer:
I found this site and it might be helpful for you. According to it 75% of the people who use this method had a baby girl. I hope that either way you'd be happy with a healthy baby : )

Good Luck!!

I will say that I used the method for increasing my chances of having a boy. I tracked my ovulation with the at home tester as well. My son is 5 now!!

Answer:
Each sperm carries either a Y chromosome (male) or an X chromosome (female). The sperm with Y chromosome swims much faster then the X chromosome, but also dies quicker. To try for a boy, you should have sex up to 2 days before ovulation. The *male* chromosome can live up to 3 days inside your uterus.

The X chromosome can live up to 5 days inside your uterus, but is a very slow swimmer, so if you want to try for a girl, have sex 3 to 5 days before ovulation but NOT any closer to ovulation than 3 days.

Look up “the Shettles method” and you should find some more info about it.

It isn't 100%, but it is a way… to TRY at least.

Edit… The sperm doesn't 'decide' what the sex of the baby will be… lmao… it is based on which chromosome that sperm carries… lol… people do some research before you answer…
