I am 37 weeks pregnant and for the last few days I’ve been really lightheaded. I thought maybe my bloodsugar was low (I have hypoglycemia, which is the opposite of diabetes) but even when I eat I don't feel any better. It gets worse when I’ve contractions. Anyone else feel like this? Is it normal? (Please no smart alec comments about why I'm asking you…it's for advice, not for wiseguys to pick on pregnant people)

Answer:
Yes it is normal, but since you have hypoglycemia, you’ll need to keep an eye on your sugars, since you don't want that to make it worse. I had lightheadedness starting the third trimester with my first and with the second it has already started and I’m only 8 weeks. Just try to keep your movements slow. Like when you get out of bed, do it in steps (roll to your side, wait a minute, sit up, wait a minute, stand up, and wait a minute). I feel for you! Good luck.

Answer:
It is absolutely normal to have some lightheadness. If you think about it baby is taking up all the space. He/She is smushing all your organs. Usually with the lungs they get pressed against the ribcage. When you get to about 38 weeks the baby should drop if he/she hasn't already and it will be a little easier to breath…

Answer:
Make sure you drink lots of water, you could be dehydrated, or you could be low in iron so eat healthy foods, and as for the sugar thing try a glass of orange juice when you feel like that. And if these things don't work see your doctor.
