because i had gestational diabetes and those children tent to be quite large. Even though i was dieting (because of the diabetes) my kid was 9 pounds and 22 inches long so quite the baby. I was in germany at the time. Question I’ve is will they induce me again with my second child on my due date or will they let me go over (oh i hope not) until I begin labor myself. The inducing didn't really help to much till they opened up my embryo sack and than it was swift. Anyone have any experience with this?

Answer:
if you have gestational diabetes again they will probably induce you early but if not then they’ll let you go on your own

Answer:
It depends. Every pregnancy is different - you might not have gestational diabetes this time. The doctor will monitor the growth of your baby and decide to induce if he feels that it is too big. Most doctors don't like to induce until 41 weeks.

Answer:
if you’ve gestational diabetes again, i would think they would monitor you with more ultrasounds, and if your baby started measuring over 8 pounds, i would think they would induce you anytime after 37 weeks.

Answer:
I think they will wait till your due date, then if no baby , they will schedule induction within a day or two after due date, unless the baby is huge.
