Okay, I have exactly the same problem. I recently used a friend's face wash and asked her where she got it and what she would advocate for my skin.

She suggested using coconut oil on your face at night. I tried it, but just couldn't do it. It felt awful. I did get other useful information from her, though: basically, if you wouldn't eat it, don't put it on your face. Not that you should eat lotions or other face products, but don't put weird acids on your face. And avoid any kind of alcohol as much as possible. Alcohol will only dry your skin out. Also never use a bar soap on your face. Most bar soaps have wax and other things that’ll leave a nasty residue on your face. That's how they stay in a bar form.

I now use Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser for normal to oily skin in combination with Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion for all skin types. It washes clean and doesn't leave anything gross on your face, and it leaves some moisture in your skin. I occasionally add Olay Regenerist daily regenerating cleanser to the mix. It exfoliates your skin and gets rid of dead skin cells, which does wonders for your skin. I only use it every now and then, though, because it does have some alcohol in it.

Hopefully these will help your skin as much as they’ve mine.

What do you wash your face with? You need to you something gentle, but still works. I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash that’s grapefruit scented. It works great; but you do have to give it, like all acne products, some time. After I dry my face, I put on a tiny bit of Jergens face moisturizer. Specifically for the face, because other moisturizers tend to make your face oily.
Keep experimenting with different products, and if that doesn't work, take a trip to the dermatologist—they'll help all your problems.
