I bought eight barbells online with acrylic balls for my tongue piercing. I soaked them in alcohol for about 30 seconds.. and they began to disintegrate. Here's a picture:

Did I do something wrong? None of my acrylic jewelry has ever done this. I e-mailed the seller and I'm waiting for a response.

you never clean acrylic with alcohol or peroxide.
Answer:
Warm soapy water. You never use alcohol to clean it b/c it breaks down the acrylic [as you already know].
