Reduce swelling of the monroe piercing?

i got this done two days ago, and i knew swelling was in store, i've had piercings before a long time ago. i was wondering what medicines are good to take to reduce pain and swelling. ps. i just looked in my cabinet and i do NOT have motrin. whoops.

Things like ice lollies and ice cream will help. I don't know about medicines, as I prefer not to take things like that, but I just took a bit of ibuprofen and drank plenty of icy water.
