i have two stars on the front of my hip (just the outline not filled in) one is about an inch and the other is really small and next to the top right.
i was thinking about getting stars up my back sort of like:

cept a little different. (less of the tiny stars filled in, but that pattern/area)
or i was going to just leave the two stars i have and get a quote on my ribs on the opposite side. sort of like megan fox's.
it would be this poem:
To be alive: not just the carcass
But the spark.
That's crudely put, but…
If we're not supposed to dance,
Why all this music?
but maybe just the last two lines with “…” before it starts.
which should i do?
i think both would be too busy.

Personally, i think stars are kind of more a fashion at the moment- unless they have some other meaning for you- so although they look good i would have thought your tastes might change. Saying that, the picture looks pretty awesome, but then again it might be a bit samey if you already have some on your hip.
As for the poem, its weird cos ive been thinkin recently about gettin something like megan fox's! So i guess i'm a bit biased, but even so i would have thought that it would be more of an expression about you (lol sounds really soppy but i always find it better if tattoos have a meaning)
And as for them being busy, the picture you give there’s a bit much. But you could change the font of the writing so it's smaller, and just the last two lines do sound pretty good. Also for the stars you could have them a bit smaller, similar to Rhianna's neck/back. But i think the stars are more apt to look busy. And that having writing as well as the stars you already have would be nice just for variation.
Lol soz this is kinda an essay, but its important you're sure cos otherwise you might definately regret. At the end of the day its your choice, whsat suits you ideal. If its too busy and you're not totally keen for it, don't get it. You can always leave it for a bit, there's no rush. ![]()

Can I ask why the stars? I like the last two lines of the poem, but not enough to look at them for the next 70-80 years. Do they mean anything to you? If theres a nagging voice in your head saying “the reasons your giving to have it arent actual reasons” then your just kidding yourself. Its like when people get stuff for dead relatives but they just use the relative as an excuse :\
Answer:
Don't listen to those who say your tattoo will look bad in 40 years. Just tell them it will look great for 39 years, 11 months.
I'm going to recommend that you combine the two ideas. Begin by having the stars go from one hip to the opposite shoulder across your back. Replace some of the stars with musical notes, then weave the quote through and around the stars/notes.
Good luck with your tattoo no matter what you decide.
Answer:
What you should REALLY do is go down to the park and look at the 60-something women with tattoos and envision just how bad you're going to look in about 40 years.
Answer:
I love star tattoos as much as the next girl but everyone has them right now. Since you already have a couple of stars opt for the last 2 lines of the poem.
Answer:
I like the idea of the last two lines. Yeah both is a tiny much.
Answer:
I like the poem.

I dont think both would be too much…if you just did “If we're not supposed to dance, why all the music?” like around the hip..then you could maybe incorperate some small music notes going up with the stars also…that way its not exactly like the other girls..
and to be honest, I think its so frustrating to hear people say, you’re going to regret it in 40 years…why??? because my skin is going to be all wrinkled? lol well what the hell is anyone going to do with wrinkled skin anyways?? Why not enjoy your “good” skin while you can…who cares later, your skin isnt going to look good regardless..and like you stated, chances are we arent going to be walking around in bikinis either!
I think you should get wahtever you want. I tried to come up with a swift idea that could include both without being “too much” I think you could make the stars all different sizes..and even add a couple more by the ones you already have to kinda make them all flow together..then like I said you could add some lil music notes through out it and have your passage and the whole tattoo would go well together and would look really good I think.
hope this helps
