My son turns one on 22nd April and we’re having a housewarming / birthday party on 2nd Might. Is it OK to get his injection after the party in case he has a reaction to the injection ? My friends baby got hers and was told that if they are going to react, then it will usually be 5 - 12 days after the injection. The chances are that if he gets sick, it may just fall on the celebration and I don't want the poor thing being sick for the party as he’ll never be able to sleep with all the noise. The party's date cannot be changed, we have to do it on this day.
Do you think this will be an issue to do it on 4th Might ?
Answer:
….both my daughters didn't get their shots until 1 to 2 weeks after they turned one….and they did just fine.
I even called the physician to make sure it was ok and they also told me that it was ok!!!!!
You could call your doctor and go ahead and make their appointment for the 4th…..it helped knowing that the appointment was made.
Answer:
I doubt a week will make a difference. Actually some of the immunizations cant be done too close together (not even a day early! I had to reschedule my daughters checkup) so later is ok. if itwere like a month late it would be a huge deal but a week wont. If you're really worried about it ask the drs office if its going to be a problem to postpone the shot.
Answer:
Yes, because she’ll still be 12 months old. Anytime within those four weeks is best.
Answer:
yeah.. mine didn't get his until a month afterwards
Answer:
I don't think it would be a problem, but just ask his physician.
My son hasn't received any immunizations (just flu shots) and he's three. I think they're a bit risky esp. when they give them to tiny babies.
Answer:
That’ll be fine. My son turned one and we didnt get his shots till a month after.
