i was wondering to all you moms out there if you can give me some tips on getting my 3 year old boy to go in the potty. I have tried for a while he just wont go.
Answer:
Honestly, He will go when he’s ready, just as long as you show him where the potty is and what he needs to do, he will pick it up. That was what happened with my daughter. One morining I told her it was time to go potty, dragged her kicking and screaming all the way there and put some panties on her after she went (SHe knew what she had to do she is just stubbern as a rock) and she has been going ever since. I had tried for about 7-8 months before with no luck then one day I guess she decieded that she was ready

Are you trying to get him to wee or poo in the potty???
If you are trying to get him to do #2 then just make sure you leave potty around somewhere close so he has the ability to get to it like the loungeroom, also try to watch what time he would normally do #2 and around that time stick him on the potty and sit with him.
It will take time but he’ll get there, I promise.
If you are trying to get him to wee in potty maybe try using the toilet with a tiny stand for him to stand on and get a pin pong for him to aim at, that always helps or you can buy these things on the internet that can help with toilet training and they change colour when he wees on it.
What really worked for me is by making a chart and if they wee or poop in the potty 5 times they get a reward, but don’t give chocolate but maybe give a tiny toy from supermarket.
Good luck mummy.

My cousin got her kid to go on the potty by showing an Elmo potty training video (the kid was OBSESSED with Elmo at the time). Seeing the video got her interested. So thats the first step, get the kid interested. Maybe think about what their favorite Television show is and see if there’s any potty training video of it.

Draw a target on the bottom of the potty, we did that for my nephew he loved it. Also use rewards, if goes by him self give him a treat!

Kids train when they're ready. I tried to train my daughter for 6 months prior to the birth of our second daughter. She refused… 3 weeks after the baby came, she trained on her own…
