to want to get up and get ready for school in the mornings? He has got to be THE SLOWEST kid I know! I'm exhausted of prodding him each damn day! Ideas, please & thank you.

Answer:
You tell him before hand when he goes to bed. if you dont get up the first time you will regret it. Then when he goes to bed and does not wake up when you ask him:

going to bed early 10 min. for every minute he does not get up.

so if he’s in bed for 5 min. that is 50 minutes early he’s going to bed from his regualr bed time. so that way he wont be sleepy when you try to wake him up in the morning and he wont like that at all. but you will.

Oh My dear I know how you feel and my Son is 12,Nearly 13 come Dec. I set his alarm at night And it goes off,No movement .So I state hey got to get up and get ready like 5 times before he moves …Grrrr! I would state use the alarm System and then turn the light on if he does not get up,This works pretty good most of the time.I’ve told him if he can't get up on time I’m going to Take away his video games and he has the ability to go to bed earlier than usual. I’ve 2 other kids, when my oldest son was this age he was a bear to get up also.I have a Daughter who is 16 now ,But as a young child I never ever had any problems waking her for school.Thank goodness,1 out of 3 ain't so bad!

Answer:
does he have problems with his peers, or in school in general? I remember hating to go to work because of the people there. If that isn't the case, maybe he’s just fatigued and should go to bed earlier.

A nice way to wake up children is a pancake smell going through the home, music with pep, and not a stressed mother, but a smiling loving mom. Bribery will help too. Tell him if he gets up by the count of three you will have a surprise at the breakfast table for him. could be fresh fruit of the season, french toast…whatever.

Answer:
My mum used to say to me if you get up and get ready fast you'll have enough time to watch your favourite program, or i'll read with you for a while, or you'll have time for your fave breakfast making etc.

Answer:
Kick him in the butt

Answer:
