My twin sister has a three year old and refuses to use the potty. She gets upset everytime we ask her if she wants to. our peditrician stated not to force her that she will go when she is ready. I have a 1 1/2 year old daughter that is still in diapers. Should I try to potty train Her to encourage my sisters daughter to go? ( we live together)

Answer:
Wow - my son is 3 and exhibits the same behavior. While I’m glad to know that I’m not alone, I have the ability to tell you that our newest method of having a jar - with pictures of the zoo on it - and putting money in the jar Each time Anybody (including me and my husband) go to the potty then we add money to the jar. This has gotten him excited about a huge trip and because we all participate he wants to be part of the fun.
Think of something fun around your area, even if it's the park or Chuck E Cheese - it might work.

Answer:
I think 1 1/2 is a good age to begin introducing her to potty training. It may be good for your niece, you can always use “Babies use diapers, huge girls go on the potty”. 3 seems old to be in diapers to me, but I comprehend not all children are easily trained.

Answer:
yes if a cousin a lot younger is the huge girl she’ll do whatever to be the huge girl again
