My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for six months now…no luck! My period is due on July 25th..this Friday…I’m dying to know if I’m pregnant or not!! I know I need to relax and not stress about it, but it is soo hard not too. This is something we want more than anything! Should I go buy a test kit today (I noticed there are some now that work as early as five days before your missed period), or just be patient?

the early test really do work, so if you cant wait then go this day! but the bad thing is there might not be enough hormone to show yet, and u get a neg.but really be prego, and that will bring your hopes all down, so its up to u, i know i can never wait, and take the early ones!!

You should really wait until you're at least a week late, though I know that's hard when you're dying to know. For me, I'd rather wait and then test, than test too early and get a negative result. That would be devastating for me.
The First Response tests, the ones that claim you can get results 5 days sooner, are only accurate about 50% of the time when taken 5 days early. In other words, you could take it now, get a negative, and wind up in the same boat you're in now. Unsure if you're pregnant or not. Waiting until AT LEAST the first day of your missed period gives you a superior chance of an accurate result.

My husband and I were trying to concieve as well, I knew that testing any sonner than 4 days before my period was pointless, but I did, because my family kept asking my to check, but exactly 4 day before my period was supposed to begin I tested, and it was positive…so I guess that means today..you go get yours!!!! good luck!

I could hardly ever wait long enough. The ideal and cheapest tests were the pregnancy tests at the Dollar store. I would stock up on those and test each morning with first morning urine state… 5 days before my period was to begin. It didnt cost a lot and it was fun. Make sure if you buy them at the Dollar store that the test is actually in there….people like to steal them on the self. Good luck testing.

I know the waiting game is hard but its ideal to wait until at least the day your period is due and test first thing in the morning. The tests are more accurate and less apt to give you a false negative that way. Best of luck to you!

I always wait until the first day my period is due. Then, I'll take another 4-5 days if it hasn't come yet. Unfortunately, 2.5 years later, I'm still TTC
