Mar

the reason im asking is because i have been ttc for 4 years and i decided to try an OTK. i had very light pink spotting from feb.29th to march 3d. i took the ovulation test on mar 3 and it came out positive so i did the baby dance within 24 hours. On march 17th i began having very sore nipples and mild cramping. i have been feeling sick at times but have not thrown up. took 2 pregnancy tests 1 on mar. 26th and 1 on mar 28th(both were not first mornings urine) both were negative. i am still having symptoms as of today. i have made a docs appt. should i keep testing till then?

if im not prego ill b disapointed but i wonder if these could be symptoms of a worse problem. any-1 with advice or your story will be of great help.

Answer:
You should discuss your irregular period with a doctor - it could be one side effect of PCOS (or PCOD, as they're calling it now). Women with PCOS can still get pregnant, so don't worry.

You might be having a checmical pregnancy if you're doctor also says your test is negative - a mind over matter thing. You want to be pregnant so much, your body goes through the motions. It's actually about as common as ectopic pregnancies (which happen I think it was 40% more in women with PCOS).

Something else that's strange, and very possible - you might not carry the pregnancy hormone in your urine. None of the women in my family do; just try for a blood test to see.

Answer:
yes you can.

Answer:
It sounds promising! But you will not know for sure (whatever the home pregnancy tests say) until you go see a doctor and get a blood test.

And to answer your original question, YES, you can still get pregnant with irregular or infrequent periods. In fact, since you don't know when you are ovulating (without a test), you may get pregnant at any time between periods.

Answer:
If you have irregular periods chances are you are not ovulating. You may need to go on birth control to regulate your period in order to get pregnant. It will be impossible to get pregnant until you get your periods regular.
