Is BBT 97.5 to low?

Author: admin

My temp today was 97.5 at 9 this morning but i am at cycle day 26 (abot 11 dpo). i havent been charting bt that seems to be low. at 1 this morning it was 99.1. yesterday at 10am it was 98.1. Does this mean i am not pregnant or could it be an implantation dip?

Answer:
"Is it more important to take my temperature at the same time every day or after at least three hours of sleep?

Ideally, you will be able to take your temperature at both the same time and after at least three hours of sleep, but sometimes this is not possible. Do your best to meet the ideal as closely as possible. Whether or not you will have a more accurate temperature after sleeping the longest or at your usual wake-up time varies depending on your own unique metabolism. You will only really know after you have charted for several cycles and have experimented a little bit."

"How can I chart my BBT if I work shifts?

It is not impossible to take your BBT if you work shifts, but it will be more challenging. Take your temperature at the time you wake up when you are most likely to have had the most sleep. Be as consistent as you can. On your days off, take your temperature after you wake up as well, even if it is at a different time. Make a note on your chart of changes in your waking schedule. You may take your temperature in the afternoon before you go to work if that is your usual waking time and the time after which you are most likely to have had the most sleep. It is not useful to take your temperature when you are already awake and active. "

Are you temping after a block of at least 3 hours of sleep - and temping before you get out of bed? If you are close to your period, the dip probably means your period is on it's way. The most prevalent implantation days are 7 and 8 dpo. Though it can possibly happen earlier or later. Unfortunately it's a waiting game now. Good luck!!

Answer:
It is kind of late for implantation. Your temp may just be coming back down in anticipation for AF. Don't give up though. It usually takes about 1 year for a healthy couple to conceive.

Answer:
When you temp dips from a really high to a really low as late as 11dpo it can mean that your period is just around the corner. **hugs** Don't count yourself out, you should see what your temp does tomorrow. Also, checking your temp at 1 am doesn't count unless that is your normal waking time.

To the pp your BBT must remain high to sustain a pregnancy meaning that progesterone is working!

Answer:
You may not be following the rules of charting. If you do not follow the rules then your temps are invalid.

You must:

-take your temp after a minium of 3 hours of consecutive sleep

-take your temp around the same time every morning

-take your temp as soon as you open your eyes, before you do anything- even move out of bed

Alcohol and illness will also make your temps invalid.

The main reason that your temps are so different over the past 3 times is because of the vast time difference of the time you have taken your temp - 9am, 1am, 10am You need to try and be more consistent with the time you take your temp.

When charting individual temps mean nothing. You are looking at patterns. Preovulatory temps go up and down in a low range. Postovulatory temps go up and down in a high range. Most preovulatory waking temps range between 97.0 and 97.5 and postovulatory temps range from 97.6 to 98.6. But you have to see what is normal for your body.

Most likely with a temp of 97.5 at 11dpo your period will arrive in the next day or two. You will have to wait and see what happens.

Answer:
If you haven't been regularly charting, then there is no way to answer this question because there is no way to know what is normal for you during the pre-ov and post-ov times. Individual temps mean nothing- you are looking for a pattern.

The different temps are because you don't wake at a specified time- BBT might not work as well for you. The temp taken at 10am is naturally going to be higher than the temp at 9am and the temp at 1 am may be high because you hadn't entered "deep" enough sleep yet to reach your basal temperature.

As for pregnancy vs implantation vs not pregnant- there is no way to tell based on these temps given that we don't have a full chart to look at and you vary so much in the times you take it. It will just be a wait-and-see game at this point.

Good luck!!!

Answer:
