I bought one of those dollar tree test that are 25 mlu and took it this morning on the day of my expected period on a 31 day cycle. My period is due this day, but I don't have any kind of vaginal discharge that would make me think it is coming. normally by now I’ve that brownish pre-period stuff for at least a day or so before my full flow starts.This might be a bit TMI but…last night I had sex with my hubby and normally if I am close to starting my period that kind of gets it a head begin and it is full flowing by the next day. NOTHING DOWN THERE! My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and we have had sex on my fertile days. I have breast tenderness and some cramping(which I also get with pms so it could be that ).
Is it common to get a false negative on the day my period is due? Especially when I used a sensitive test?

Yes it is actually. It all depends on when you implant and implantation can occur 4-16 days after ovulation. If you implanted late then you wouldn't have enough hormone in your system yet to read a positive.

Yes, the general rule is to wait at least 1 week after you expect your period. I think first response is…5 days after your missed period…good luck!
