I have read a few questions that go on about the positioning of the cervix and how it should be positioned during different times of the month.

Can someone please tell me firstly how do you check what position your cervix is in?

Also I am due on my period tomorrow (which Im hoping wont come) where should my cervix be positioned if my period is on its way?

Thanks

Answer:
Well when I went to the gyno, she said that a typical cervix would be "facing towards her". Mine I guess is facing down. Doesn't effect trying to conceive or childbirth so it's all good!

Answer:
Checking your cervical signs can take a lot of practice. Every woman is different in her specific body signs, so the most important thing is find out what is "normal" for YOU.

The signs you are looking for with ovulation are SHOW (soft, high, open, wet). It may take a couple of months of tracking before you know what these things feel like. In general, when your cervix is soft, it will feel like you lips. When it is hard, it will feel more like the tip of your nose. The others are a little harder to describe because they depend on you.

When you are not fertile (after you ovulate), your cervix will be low, hard, closed, and dry. As you get closer to your period, the cervix can be unpredictable. Some women report that it stays hard and closed, while others report it becomes softer and opens (this is what happens to mine).

The best way to check it is to squat (not just bend your knees- all the way down). This will bring your cervix to the lowest position so you can feel it.

A great book that describes the process is "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It has diagrams and advice on what else to look for.

Good luck!!!

Answer:
I check the entrance to my cervx every day, basically you use your middle finger ( clean) and insert in in yourself, when people say its low it means the end of it is near your vagina openning, and when its high its high in yourself, sometimes mine is so high I can barely feel it with the end of my finger.

Also you need to record its softness, generally when its low its hard ( feels like the end of your nose), this is when your not furtile. And when you are fertile, just before you ovulate it goes high and soft (like your lip) and then you should also beable to feel the openning, again when your furtile you should be able to feel it open!

hope that helps you out a bit!!

good luck x
