my husband and I have been talking about having baby. the problem is he had a vasectomy 7 years ago and a reversal is out of the question. Are they any other opitions to keep it natural and carry to term? We have read about sperm asperation. Has anyone ever had sperm asperated, if so how does it make the guy feel-pain wise? Serious responsed please.

Answer:
I have heard that there is a way for a doctor (Fertility specialist) to go in and extract sperm directly from the production center.

I have no idea how much something like that would cost…

You would also need to consider the cost of having your eggs artificially fertilized and implanted since it would be unfeezable to insert the sperm and hope it is the right time and that they find the egg naturally.

There is always the option of adoption or using a sperm donor… I know that a lot of people would not choose that option because then it woudn't be "His Child" but a child of your marrage, made in love, should be just as accepted and loved as a child made naturally between two loving parents.

Good luck!

Edit: I just had a thought… If cost is a consideration, since you need to go through the extraction process to get your eggs out anyway… You might be able to have them extract more then is 'necessary' and sell them to offset the cost of your procedures. I know that women can make upwards of $50,000.00 selling their eggs…

Since you are already having it done for yourself, you could make someone else's life a little better by donating or selling any 'unused' eggs that they extract. Just a thought… Please, no one bite my head off for this… I'm trying to help.

Although men considering vasectomies should not think of them as reversible, and most men and their spouses are satisfied with the operation, [17][18][19] there is a procedure to reverse vasectomies using vasovasostomy (a form of microsurgery first performed by Earl Owen in 1971[20][21]). Vasovasostomy is effective at achieving pregnancy in only 50%-70% of cases, and it is very costly, with total out-of-pocket costs in the United States ranging from $7,000 [22] to more than $35,000[citation needed]. The rate of pregnancy depends on such factors as the method used for the vasectomy and the length of time that has passed since the vasectomy was performed. The reversal procedures are frequently impermanent, with occlusion of the vas recurring two or more years after the operation. Sperm counts are rarely at pre-vasectomy levels. There is evidence that men who have had a vasectomy may produce more abnormal sperm, which would explain why even a mechanically successful reversal does not always restore fertility.[23][24] The higher rates of aneuploidy and diploidy in the sperms of men who have undergone vasectomy reversal may lead to a higher rate of birth defects [25].

In order to allow a possibility of reproduction (via artificial insemination) after vasectomy, some men opt for cryostorage of sperm before sterilization.[26]

Various reversible male contraceptives are in research and development, but none is available. Many of these involve the implantation of micro-valves

Answer:
Cant it be reversed…..

Answer:
why can't it be reversed is your husband afraid of pain ?

Answer:
I don't think its is possible. I am sorry to give bad news. But you can go to sperm bank, but that is disgusting. Unless, if your husband gave some sperm before vestomy, its is possible.
