So I was supposed to start my period on the 13th, no show. My cycles can vary a bit so not a massive deal. However today is the 21st and still nothing. I haved some nausa and headaches but other than that nothing. I took a hpt on the 19th and it was negative. So what's going on? Should I test again, if so when? This is such a crazy rollercoast. Should I be happy because I'm late or should I be realistic and just wait. It's crazy, in need of advice.

Sometimes the HCG is a tiny slow building up enough to show on a urine pregnancy test. Wait until tomorrow morning, and test again with 1st morning urine. If still nothing, and can't stand the suspense, CALL your doctor, and ask them to write a prescription for a QUANtitive blood test. That will show your actual HCG levels….a QUALitive blood test will just tell “pregnant” or “not pregnant”. Calling instead of visiting will save you a dr's visit payment, and if they just use a regular preg test , it could come up neg as well.
With my son, HPT ALL came back negative for me, even at a BETA center. When I went to my doctor, I was in fact about 8 weeks pregnant! Good luck!

I was in the same boat except that I actually did get excited. I was 11 days late, however 5 hpt showed negative, but I still had hope, plus all the signs; nausa, headaches, peeing a lot, and beign exhausted all the time. However, this day I started my period. But my period is not normal, it's very light which is unusual for me on the 1st day. So to answer your question, don't waist a bunch of money like I did on HPTs. Wait another week, if you don't start… then take a test.

Yes you need to test again. Test again with first morning urine and if still negative then visit the Dr.

sometimes it takes a while to be realesing enough hormones for the test to pick up on!
test again in 48 hours with a first morning urine!
