I’ve my annual exam scheduled on day 16 of my cycle, which is right around when I am going to ovulate. I think I want to reschedule, since we’ll be having sex everyday and I don't want the sperm to mess up the test results. Also, I’m charting and would like to hopefully ovulate by the time I’ve the appointment so she could look at the chart and hopefully confirm I ovulated. Is the third week of the cycle, in theory after you ovulate, a good time to go if TTC? Could the doctor tell by a pelvis exam or an ultrasound if I ovulated, or even if I might have conceived? Hopefully I have the ability to reschedule, the doctor's office is so busy all the time. Thanks.

Answer:
You should have you exam on the fourteenth day of your cycle, if you’re keeping an ovalation chart the chart spikes when you’re ovalating. The sperm does not mess up the test results, but I would not have sex the day before the exam and do not douch before. You do not want to freshen up everything.

Answer:
I would try to schedule your appt after your period (soon after) that way you don't have to worry about ovulation or a egg trying to implant. My vote is for those days after period is over, but before you ovulate.
