Has anybody taken Macrobid for a UTI?

I started it last night so I just took my 3rd dose. I've never taken this antibiotic before. How long does it take to work?? Does it work well?

I asked this question a little while ago and only got 1 answer which was good but I need more info!!

well… i've never taken that particular antibiotic but ive had a uti before… as with all antibiotics make sure you take it till you finish all the pills… you’ll begin to feel superior 2-3 days after starting the medication but that dosent mean you should stop… the reason you feel better is because the antibiotic has killed enough of the bacteria to reduce the symptoms.

im sure the physician wouldn’t have given you the perscription if they didnt think it was going to work for you… follow your physicians instructions and you should be fine in about a week and a half!
