I started it last night so I just took my 3rd dose. I've never taken this antibiotic before. How long does it take to work?? Does it work well?
Answer:
no medication is 100% for everyone, there are also other factors that’ll determine the outcome of your treatment. Avoid sugar during your treatment and at least 5-7 days after it is finished, sugar feeds bacteria and yeast. Cranberry supplements can be beneficial also, juice is ok but only if it is 100% juice, the kind sweetened with juice from other fruits, but that is a form of sugar also. Drink plenty of water, avoid sexual intercourse during treatment, it can introduce more bacteria and/or irritation. Get probiotics into your system, either take a supplement form 2-3 times a day or eat yogurt with “live cultures” a couple of times a day, the supplements are more concentrated and have no sugar. Don’t use deodorant tampons or pads, or perfumed soaps or wipes, etc in your gential area. Showers are better than baths during your treatment time. The amount of time it takes to work depends on all these factors and how much bacteria was present at the time.
