I've been eating them for a few days now, every night with my husband. They're soaked in sea salt and regular table salt. I've noticed my clothes fitting more snug and I feel bloated. Could it just be water retention from the salt and water? Have you ever heard of someone gaining rapid weight from eating boiled peanuts? Maybe me eating at night contributes also….

Answer:
As you mentioned, boiled peanuts are very salty. My guess is you’re retaining water from the increase in sodium you've had from the peanuts. If you've gained weight quickly, it probably just is water weight. Perhaps try drinking a lot of water to flush out the sodium from your body. Also eating at night tends to add weight just because after you eat, the food just sits in your stomach as you sleep. Your metabolism slows at night so whatever you eat within a few hours of sleep, doesn't get burned off as energy. Again, I'd advocate drinking lots of water to flush out the salt and maybe cut back on the snacking close to bedtime.

Answer:
YES!! I spent a summer eating them and gained like 7lbs back in college. I stay away from them now. I LOVE THEM, but I think its water retention from all of the salt.

Answer:
